What is the true meaning of family? Some would say that it's the people whom you are born from, the people you live with day in and day out. Others would say its the people whom took you in when you had no "real family" to stay with. Sure both answers are correct in there own ways however, I believe TRUE FAMILY are those who take you into there lives with no expectations. they pick you up when you are at your lowest without expecting anything in return. True family will help you find your way into the light and stick with you through your fears and sadness reguadless of your flaws. For most of my life I have been lost within that darkness held within the cage of my own mind with my demons constantly dragging me deeper. Until one day when I was introduced to a show called supernatural. Its the story of two young guys who go around the states together fighting monsters and saving the lives of those in need selflessly trying to rid the world of the fear and pain caused by demons while pushing asside memories of there own internal demons. These brave young souls find there own true family through there many adventures showing us that real family can come from even the most unexpected places. They show us that even in the worst of times, you can always find someone who will care to pick you up and help you find the good within yourself so you can learn to love yourself and tell those dark voices within to go fudge themselves. So why are thes wonderful gaurdian angels recieving so much hate? is it because the haters are afraid of what they dont understand? or are they just jelious because they are just as lost and broken as we are, yet we still managed to keep fighting in order to finally find what we have been looking for? Honestly, whatever the reason, i pray that these beautiful gaurdian angels remember that even through all the hate, those whom they have impacted on a weekly or daily bases will never forget everything they have done for us and though they are our gaurdians no one is truely invincible, I want them to know that no matter what they will always have thousands of people around the world shining there candles to help lead them from that same darkness which they have dug so many out of time and time again. Because they are our family from the sarcastic crazy uncle to the protective pie- loving and moose sised brothers or the badass nerdy sister and corcky aunts and brave loyal body gaurd. You are all a family to the many wayward brothers and sisters world wide and i couldnt be more proud to be a member in this family so thank you all for everything uv done and are still doing you may not realize it but your care compassion and love has saved so many lives that no matter how much hate there is, the love will always come out ten-fold and do anything we can to help always keep fighting the same as uv taught us from day one.

This quote holds truth within the real meaning of family. Especially within a certain tv show which reminds millions of viewers weekly that you can find a true sense of family, safety and unconditional love even within the darkest of times. Supernatural is a show about the many struggles of one. Very unique and dysfunctional family of two young boys who have lost their mother and are constantly tested in the true bonds of brotherhood. Throughout the show, there are many losses for young Sam and Dean, but many wins as well. These two brave handsome men travel the world saving lives on a weekly basis. Literally they are going to hell and back to save as many as they can using the lessons of their very distant heart-broken and driven father and their sarcastic straight forward uncle, whom a man would argue was more like a father to them then their own father was. That is true. Many would say that this is what makes a family and a hero, but in the eyes of thousands of fans, there is so much more to this amazing band of brothers then that. These amazing people are constantly seen in many conventions worldwide doing charity work and connecting with fans and helping those in need selflessly showing their fans the same love and kindness they have been shown time and time. Again they are reminding us of the true values of the bonds of family and friendship, and that we are all special in many different ways even if we cannot see it. Most heroes wear capes and fight villains, on tv which these young men also do, (minus the capes and tights) but in addition to that they take time to help those who are in need but not necessarily in danger. Reminding so many lost and confused young and old souls that no matter their past or present mistakes. We are all truly loved by someone and that even when our hearts feel nothing, but darkness. There is always someone to help pull us out and give us the strength to always keep fighting. For these reasons and more, it absolutely astounds me how much hate and disrespect these amazing people and even their family members receive. It takes real courage to constantly put yourself out into a world full of opinions and hate. And certainly a great deal more to be away from your family for months at a time only to video chat and visit them every chance you get in between. However, it seems no matter how hard the struggle gets, the love which our heroes have for the fans has not strain upon there love for their amazing, beautiful families. They may put on brave faces and they seem like it is nothing, but even heroes break on occasion. they have helped us realize that it is okay to break once in a while and have emotions. As we are all human and our hearts are all the same. They have all taught us so much about bravery, love, kindness, respect, (not only for others, but for ourselves as well. It absolutely bugs my mind how all of these beautiful souls could possibly be hated by anyone. That is, of course until remind myself that even through the light, the darkness still exists. But thanks to the Supernatural family. I have finally found my true family. The one place I can truly belong and be myself. And like all my fellow wayward brothers and sisters, I refuse to allow my family to feel the cruel loneliness of the darkness. My family is well over 10 thousands strong and, though we may sometimes lose, we will always keep fighting to pull each other back up long after this war of hate has been won. Thank you my wonderful teachers for helping me and the millions of others like me, to find the light within ourselves which helps us all shine in our own unique ways, and helping us to no longer be afraid to allow that light to be cast out into a world full of opinions and critics. I finally no longer feel like the lonely black sheep among a heard of flawless unicorns. But the black sheep who has finally found her way to where I can belong among, all the other sheep like me. When family don't end with blood you realize that that family always has your back. I want to thank all of you for bringing all of us wayward sons and daughters together and teaching us so much all these years.you may not think it or realize it but you are all our guardian angels and our lights which shine the way to lead us when we are in our darkest places. these candles you see before you today are a promise to all of you.
